What Channel Is The Golf Channel On YouTube TV: Guide
The Golf Channel does not have one fixed channel number on YouTube TV. YouTube TV uses a streaming guide, so the channel’s position may vary by location, device, and guide settings. In the United States, Golf Channel is generally available through YouTube TV’s main channel lineup, but plan details can change.
To find it, open YouTube TV and search for “Golf Channel.” You can also browse the Live tab and look under sports networks.
How to Find Golf Channel on YouTube TV
The fastest way to find Golf Channel is to use YouTube TV’s built-in search.
On a smart TV or streaming device
- Open the YouTube TV app.
- Select the Search icon.
- Type Golf Channel.
- Select the live Golf Channel result.
- Choose Watch or add it to your library.
You can use this method on devices such as Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Google TV, Samsung smart TVs, and compatible game consoles.
On a phone, tablet, or computer
- Visit tv.youtube.com or open the YouTube TV app.
- Sign in to your U.S. YouTube TV account.
- Tap or select Live.
- Search for Golf Channel, or scroll through the sports networks.
- Select the channel to begin watching.
YouTube TV may show Golf Channel in a different place based on your custom guide. If you have moved channels or created a personalized lineup, the network may not appear in the default order.
Does YouTube TV Include the Golf Channel?
YouTube TV has offered Golf Channel in its U.S. lineup, but the exact plan and availability should be checked in your account. YouTube TV can change channel packages, prices, regional access, and promotional terms.
To confirm your access:
- Open YouTube TV.
- Go to your profile picture.
- Open Settings.
- Select Membership or Plan details.
- Review the channels included with your current subscription.
- Search for Golf Channel in the live guide.
You can also check the official YouTube TV channel lineup before subscribing or changing plans.
Why your lineup may look different
Several factors can affect what you see:
- Your subscription plan: Some sports networks may require a particular plan or add-on.
- Your billing location: YouTube TV uses your home area to determine local programming.
- Your current location: Travel can affect local channels, although national networks often remain available.
- Guide customization: A hidden channel will not appear in your selected guide.
- Account changes: YouTube TV may update channel packages over time.
Golf Channel is a national sports network. It is different from local broadcast stations that carry events such as the PGA TOUR, major championship coverage, or regional golf shows.
Is There a Golf Channel Number on YouTube TV?
No. YouTube TV does not use universal channel numbers in the same way as cable or satellite providers.
For example, a cable customer might find Golf Channel on channel 218 or another local number. That number does not transfer to YouTube TV. YouTube TV organizes content through:
- The Live guide
- Search
- Your custom channel order
- Recommendations
- The Golf Channel network page
This design means two YouTube TV users may see Golf Channel in different positions. The search function is more reliable than using a channel number found in a cable listing.
Add Golf Channel to your preferred guide
If you watch golf often, adding the network to your custom guide can save time.
- Open YouTube TV in a web browser.
- Select your profile picture.
- Open Settings.
- Choose Live guide.
- Find Golf Channel.
- Add it to your guide or move it higher in the list.
- Save your changes.
Custom guide controls may differ slightly by device. If you do not see the option in the mobile or TV app, use the YouTube TV website.
What Golf Can You Watch on YouTube TV?
Golf Channel typically carries a mix of live tournaments, studio shows, news, instruction, and analysis. The exact schedule depends on the broadcast calendar and rights for each event.
Golf Channel programming may include:
- PGA TOUR coverage on designated days
- LPGA events
- DP World Tour coverage
- Korn Ferry Tour coverage
- Golf news and analysis
- Tournament previews and replays
- Instruction programs
- Golf documentaries and feature shows
Not every major golf event airs on Golf Channel. Some coverage may be on CBS, NBC, USA Network, ESPN, ESPN2, or another broadcaster. Streaming rights can also divide an event between several networks.
Before an event begins, check the tournament’s official schedule and the YouTube TV live guide. This helps you determine whether the event is on Golf Channel, another network, or a digital stream.
Golf Channel on YouTube TV vs. Peacock
Golf Channel and Peacock are related in some golf coverage plans, but they are not the same service.
| Service | What it may provide |
|---|---|
| YouTube TV | Live access to Golf Channel when included in your plan |
| Peacock | Selected live sports, replays, and NBCUniversal programming |
| NBC or USA Network | Certain broadcast or cable portions of golf events |
| PGA TOUR app or website | Event information, highlights, and selected digital content |
A YouTube TV subscription does not automatically provide every golf stream available through Peacock or another digital service. Some tournaments have extra digital coverage that is separate from the main television broadcast.
The best choice depends on the event you want to watch. For Golf Channel’s regular live network feed, YouTube TV is the relevant service. For event-specific streams, check the official tournament listing.
Why Golf Channel Is Missing From Your YouTube TV Guide
If you cannot find Golf Channel, check the issue in this order.
1. Search for the exact network name
Search for Golf Channel, not only “golf.” The results page may otherwise show recordings, programs, and sports clips instead of the live network.
2. Check your membership
Open your YouTube TV membership page and confirm that your current plan includes the channel. A trial, paused account, or changed plan may affect access.
3. Review your custom guide
The channel may be hidden from your guide. Check the guide settings on the YouTube TV website and restore Golf Channel if necessary.
4. Confirm that you are using the correct account
Households sometimes have more than one Google account. Make sure you are signed in to the account that pays for YouTube TV.
5. Restart and update the app
Close YouTube TV, restart your streaming device, and install any available app or system updates. This can fix guide data that has not refreshed.
6. Check for a service or rights change
YouTube TV and networks can change carriage agreements. If the channel disappeared after a plan or lineup update, review YouTube TV’s current channel list and help center.
Do not rely on an old cable channel number. A number from DIRECTV, Xfinity, Spectrum, or another provider has no bearing on the YouTube TV guide.
Can You Watch Golf Channel Without Cable?
Yes. YouTube TV is one way to watch Golf Channel without a traditional cable subscription. It requires an internet connection, a YouTube TV membership, and a supported device.
Other legal options may also include:
- A live TV streaming service that lists Golf Channel
- A cable or satellite subscription with online access
- An authenticated Golf Channel or NBC Sports stream, when eligible
- Event-specific services listed by the tournament organizer
Availability, pricing, and channel packages change. Before signing up for any service, confirm that it carries Golf Channel, not just a general collection of golf videos.
Internet and device requirements
YouTube TV performance depends on your connection and device. A weak connection may cause:
- Buffering
- Reduced picture quality
- Delayed live playback
- App errors
- Difficulty loading the live guide
If other streaming services work normally but YouTube TV does not, update the app and restart the device first. If the problem affects several devices, check your home network and YouTube TV’s service status.
